| Stocks jump on Ambac hopes - 120 sec Feb. 22 - U.S. stocks staged a remarkable last minute recovery on hopes a face-saving deal can be reached with troubled bond insurer Ambac. The Dow climbed 96 points in the last 30 minutes of the trading day to close at 12,381. The S&P 500 rose 10 points to 1,353. The Nasdaq gained 3 points to 2,303. Crude oil prices hovered near $99 a barrel.
